Call control within the system can operate in standalone mode, under the control of the IP system controller and/or under the control (via high level interface) of third-party building/security management system.

Jacques offers unlimited calls between master stations and intercom devices simultaneously. Our system provides unlimited calls waiting functionality at master stations. Our flexible, easily configured call hierarchy ensures optimum call load. Utilizing our Master Usage Report (IRS) facilities can monitor master station call load, and then easily adjust call routing hierarchy via the web interface to balance call load. No need to any hardware or a technician.

Within the Jacques IP communication system, any endpoint (speaker, UAI, intercom, master station) can be grouped (virtual group) into PA Zones. Dynamic zoning means that individual endpoints or virtual groups (one, some or many) can be selected at the PC Master Station for the user to send a PA announcement. This provides the operator great flexibility when making PA announcements. This is a purely software driven feature and does not require additional hardware or advanced configuration.

Priority calling is the identification and priortization of calls (to master stations) from a predetermined, important, high risk or danger areas. Priority calls automatically jump any lower priority calls at master stations so they can be answered with urgency. Jacques offers 256 priority call levels.

Higher call priority levels are often set in correctional facilities in areas such as maximum security, solitary confinement or the medical wing. Therefore, calls from such locations can be answered at master stations quickly, as they automatically jump any calls waiting in the call queue.

True IP means Full IP communication from server to endpoint devices – not additional hardware and no server cards (unlike some of our competitors).  A Jacques system operates on an IEEE TCP/IP network with ALL devices supporting IEEE PoE allowing for power, date, and voice communications to be transmitted via a single CAT5/6 cable. This makes the system completely flexible and easy to configure, because our configuration is via our configuration interface, and doesn’t require physical hardware of moving of cables.

• Full duplex audio, otherwise known as hands-free audio, it is two-way transmission of audio when talking between intercom endpoints.
• Half duplex audio can be known as push-to-talk (ptt) audio, where the master station user has to push the push-to-talk button when they begin talking. Half duplex audio is often used in busy control rooms, where background audio or conversations between master station users does not want to be heard by the intercom endpoint.
